We have recently started work on this fantastic semi detached property in Sheffield. As well as undertaking attic and loft conversions from scratch we also convert existing attic rooms.

We will strip out the existing stud walls, insulation and plaster work and redesign the attic space to create larger room/s. We add new electrics, insulate the room/s, re plaster, new skirting boards and doors and can even add an en-suite shower room.

This snowman conversion was completed on time ( 2 hours ) and on budget ( free of charge ) thankfully we didn’t need planning permission for this conversion.

Although the snow may have stopped Sarah’s loft conversion our team still made Lucy’s day by spending time building her a snowman.

Mr & Mrs Molyneux  live in Totley, Sheffield, South Yorkshire and were looking for a modern truss loft conversion. “It’s made a huge difference to our family space.” says Mrs Molyneux

We converted their loft into a home office, master bedroom, en-suite bathroom and walk in dressing room.

To take in the views of the countryside we installed a total of nine Velux windows, three of which were feature windows in the master bedroom.“ReStyle were brilliant always communicating with us and keeping us informed of the progress of the conversion.” says Mr Molyneux

We created plenty of storage within the eaves for suitcases and Christmas trees etc.

Week 1 – This is what a Modern Truss Loft looks like before our craftsmen get to work

Week 4 – This is what we call the 1st Fix Stage. It’s where we have taken out all the existing Trusses and replaced them with our unique ReSteel System.

Week 8 - This is what we call the 2nd Fix Stage. The walls have been plastered, the joiners have fitted all the woodwork and it’s starting to look like a proper room.

Week 12 – The loft is completed. Everything has been decorated and the Molyneuxs can start enjoying their extended living space.

The en-suite shower room was fitted out with a designer sink mounted in a walnut vanity unit, with a matching wall unit, a larger than average shower and glass shower enclosure, free standing feature bath and a contemporary style toilet.

Mr & Mrs Bidder of Lodge Moor, Sheffield, South Yorkshire had decided they was in need of an extra bedroom for there family but just wasn’t prepared to pack up there lives and deal with the hassle and expense of buying a new home.

“One thing we did like about restyle was just how flexible they was with the design. They really understood our needs” says Mr Bidder.

The solution was simple, convert their “dark old rubbish filled” loft. Restyle managed to convert the modern truss loft into a spacious master bedroom, an additional dressing room and a luxury en-suit bathroom.

One of the Bidder’s main concerns with the build was the amount of natural light they would have in the new bedroom. To overcome this we installed 3 large Velux windows, this allowed plenty of light to flood the room while retaining the heat in the winter thanks to the double glazing.

Week 5 – At this stage the joiners have already got to work dividing the several rooms, while insulation is stored to ensure the heat doesn’t escape making the room very energy efficient.

Week 9 - The bathroom is complete and finished to a very high standard. By installing another Velux window in the bathroom we achieved the goal of allowing as much natural light to enter the conversion as possible.

Week 10 – The loft is completed. The Bidder family finally have there much needed extra bedroom with a luxury en-suite.

Scaffolding has just been erected on this modern truss loft conversion in Ranmoor, Sheffield. This fantastic detached property has a modern truss style roof, which makes converting the loft more difficult.

We are about to start to install the steel structural beams to enable us to then remove the ‘ W’ shaped trusses that will open up  this huge loft space.

The loft will be transformed into a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. There is also enough room in the loft to create a games room or home study room.

We are installing Velux GHL M08 top opening windows to flood the rooms with natural daylight.

Planning permission is not usually required to convert a loft space into a livable space. Since October 2008 permitted development rights were extended which made it much easier to carry out a loft conversion.This means that in most cases, planing permission is not required. However we would always check with your local authority to establish whether planning permission is needed. Should you need planning permission we would deal with your planning application for you.

Their in-house architect and structural engineer worked to the Reeders’ requirements and designed a unique steel-beam structure that supported the roof and ceilings in the floor below. This meant the roof did not need replacing, which saved a great deal of expense. Besides the fitting of steel beams, new joists and floorboards, Restyle installed a new staircase and two dormer windows – one on the front of the property, and one on the back. Three Velux windows were also fitted.

Re-style erected wall partitions and did all the plastering, electrical and plumbing work. This included fitting a new combination boiler, and radiators.
